The Environmental Conservation Organization, Inc., was founded in 1988 when 17 national organizations met in Chicago to devise a strategy to protect private property rights from erosion by excessive environmental regulations. ECO was chartered in 1990 as a 501(c)(4) not-for-profit organization. The organization moved to Hollow Rock, Tennessee in 1993. |

Ronnie Merritt is Chairman of the Board.
He is a member of New Mexico Cattle Growers' Association, the Public
Lands Advisory Council, and many other organizations. He writes a
monthly column for eco•logic Powerhouse magazine.

Henry Lamb, founded the organization in 1988 and served as its Executive Director until January 1, 2008. He is also Chairman of Sovereignty International, and writes a weekly newspaper column for WorldNetDaily and other publications.

Meritt R. Lamb is Executive Vice President, Director of Publications, and Editor of the eco•logic Powerhouse monthly magazine. He is also the coordinator for the
Freedom21 National Conferences, and represents the organization on the Liberty Ark Coalition.

Bert N. Smith founded the legendary "Smith & Edwards" outlet
store in Ogden, Utah in 1947. He is a rancher, and a widely respected
freedom fighter. He serves on the board of the National Federal Lands
Conferences, and other organizations involved in advancing the
principles of freedom.

Howard Hutchinson is
Executive Director of the Arizona/New Mexico Coalition of Counties. He
is a leader in property rights, and environmmental issues. He is a
frequent resource for legislators, both state and federal, who rely
on his expertise.
